Grace United Methodist Church at 320 College Street has been part of the neighborhood near Southwestern College for more than a century.

The congregation built it in 1917 as Grace Methodist Episcopal Church. Ernest Olaf Brostrom designed it in the Collegiate Gothic style. The main part of the three-story building is 69 by 48 feet, and a two-story education wing was added in 1959.

The name changed in 1968, when the Methodist Episcopal and Evangelical United Brethren churches merged into the United Methodist Church.

The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
