Privacy

This page explains what the Winfield Courier collects when you read the site. Questions go to our editor, Loretta Vance, at newsroom@winfieldcourier.com.

What our server records. Like nearly every website, our host keeps standard logs: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. We use these to keep the site running and to deal with abuse. We do not sell them.

Cookies. We do not require an account and we do not run comments. The site may set technical cookies needed for it to work. If we add audience measurement later, we will name the service here.

Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and address so we can reply and follow up on a story. We do not add you to any mailing list.

Outside links. Photo credits and some stories link to other sites, which have their own policies.

Changes. If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page.
